Did you know that staying at an All Inclusive Resort can actually SAVE you money? Even if you don't take advantage of every amenity it is still a cost saver!

Not sure where to go? There are a TON of All Inclusive resorts and you will learn where they are!

I will answer all your questions about how to plan your AMAZING adventure to an All Inclusive Resort!

Benefits from Booking an All Inclusive Resort

Stress Free

When you pay for an all-inclusive package, you don’t have to worry about building your package since everything is done for you. Your flights, hotel, transfers and all your meals and drinks will be included. You don’t have to waste time looking for restaurants in the area, and you certainly don’t have to worry about planning activities. All Inclusive resorts take care of everything, so your only job will be to get away from it all, relax, and enjoy every moment of your vacation.

Great Value for your Money

An all-inclusive vacation is a great way to save money. They are extremely easy to budget for since you do not have to worry about how much money you will need for food and activities. Everything is included in the price besides optional tipping, shopping and any tours or excursions you may want to do while you are there. You will hardly need to spend extra money, as everything is already included in the price.

Save Time

Booking each part of your vacation separately can be very time consuming, and only an all- inclusive vacation can save you from this. Moreover, once you’re there, you won’t have to lose valuable time organizing various activities because you’ll have everything planned in advance. And booking with Becker World Travel will save you a TON of time and research. You will feel that everything is taken care of and confident that your vacation will be the best that it can be!

It’s Safer

There are plenty of beautiful and exciting destinations out there, but not all of them may be safe. If you stay at an All Inclusive resort, there is no need to leave and they are all gated to insure the safety of all guests. I have never stayed at an All Inclusive resort and not felt safe. And I do A LOT of traveling!!

Better Conditions

Besides the hassle-free and the affordable price, this is probably the best thing about this type of holiday. For example, when you opt for a family vacation you don’t want to come across a bunch of noisy partygoers. Well, an all-inclusive family vacation will offer you the opportunity to meet other families and

Convenience

Because everything is included, you don’t have to worry about walking around with your wallet or purse. No need to pull out your credit card or cash every time you get a drink or decide to grab something out of the mini bar. You also don’t have to worry about planning every single detail of your trip as a lot of it is already planned for you with an all inclusive package.

No Need to Leave

Because pretty much everything you could need is in one place, there’s really no need to leave the property. All inclusive resorts are generally pretty large with lots of places to eat, drink and relax throughout the week.

Where are All Inclusive Resorts Located?

I get this question a lot. The type of All Inclusive resorts that I am talking about are in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and South America. Some resorts advertise All Inclusive amenities but they do not include everything that I have listed.

There are NOT any in the United States or Hawaii. This could change in the future but as of now there are none. They may include 3 meals a day but not unlimited. And they are not going to have the Entertainment staff and nightly entertainment that true All Inclusive resorts include. This is a big difference between these 2 types of vacations. If you want a REAL All Inclusive you will have to travel out of the country.

How Do I Choose the Right Resort?

This is where a good Travel Agent can help you. There are so many resorts out there, how do you choose? There are resorts that cater to families and resorts that attract couples and/or groups. I will recommend resorts that only cater to the type of vacation you are looking for.

I will listen to you and take the time to help you find the best resort based on your specific wants and needs. Don't assume that just because a friend has stayed there before or a resort gets good reviews that it will be the best fit for you!

What is Included with an All Inclusive Resort Package?

  • Easy answer, almost EVERYTHING! When I put your package together, I include:

  • Flights (nonstop if possible) with your preferred airline and time

  • Requested resort nights in your preferred room category

  • All your meals and drinks with a good selection of restaurants to choose from

  • Activities within the resort (pool and beach activities, nightly entertainment, non motorized water sports)

  • Your transfers to the resort and back to the airport for your return home

  • Travel Insurance to protect your investment

What is NOT included with an All Inclusive Resort

  • Optional tipping

  • Optional shopping

  • Optional tours or excursions

  • Spa treatments Golf (some include Complimentary Green fees so ask me if this is something you want to do while your vacation

So as you can see, most of your vacation is paid for and you don't have to worry about how to budget for the rest. This is an extremely easy way of vacation and a TON of fun!

Travel Tips

Years ago, I started putting together a list of travel tips that either my clients have shared with me or that I thought would give them a better experience. I now share those tips with all my clients so that they will be better prepared. I would like to share a few of those with you today!

Traveling out of the country is an amazing experience but can be quite stressful especially if you are a first time traveler. Even for those of you who have made several trips learn things with each trip that help you to be more prepared for your future trips. I can't tell you how many times I have traveled and I still come home feeling that I learned something else that will make my next trip a little easier!

Research your resort, find out what they have to offer. Once we have chosen your resort, research it! That way you don’t miss out on anything. Many all inclusive resorts offer free use of their canoes, kayaks and boogie boards. Some offer resort credits so make sure you are aware what is included in your package.

Tips are included. All inclusive resorts include gratuities but it always a good idea to tip your transfer company, bellman, bartender and server. It’s not mandatory but greatly appreciated!

Find out what currency the resort accepts. Some resorts don’t accept USD and Canadian cash. Go to the bank and pull what you need before hand to avoid ATM charges. If you do need cash while on your trip the best place is to go to a bank ATM, not a 3rd party machine.

Bring your own OTCs. Pack Tylenol, Aspirin, Advil, and stomach-aids (Pepto, Tums and Imodium). This is can be very expensive if you need to buy it at the resort. Don’t forget Benadryl or another antihistamine, in case you have a surprise reaction.

Pack appropriate dress attire for the a la carte . Ask me or check the resorts website to see what the dress code is. Some places require long pants and a long-sleeved shirt for men. Some resorts say they require a dress code, but are lenient once you get there. Don’t assume that is the case, pack at least one semi-formal outfit.

Check to see if you have to book the a la carte ahead of time. A lot of resorts are now offering a No Reservation policy which is extremely beneficial. If they do require reservations for ala carte restaurants, know their policy when you check in. That way you can experience all the dining that the resort offers which is an awesome experience.

Make the most of it, whatever it is . This is the most important tip. If you’re disappointed by the room or food, find something you do like and focus on that. Don’t sit there and pout for a week because you don’t like the outdated wallpaper, you spent good money on this vacation – ENJOY IT .

Additional Tips

1. Read your travel documents! It sounds so simple but I can't tell you how many times that something goes wrong in a vacation simply because the travel documents were not read thoroughly. There is so much information contained in them which is extremely useful while traveling. Don't just breeze through them, take the time to go through everything so you will know exactly what to expect during your trip.

2. Arrive at the airport early! Again, sounds like a no brainer but make sure you are getting there AT LEAST 2 hours prior to departure. And if possible, print your boarding passes online within 24 hours of your flight just in case there are any issues at the airport. Arriving at least 2 hours prior will reduce your stress, you never know how long it is going to take to get through the security line and many airlines will deny boarding if you do not check in within 45 minutes of your flight.

I had clients a few years back that arrived at the airport 90 minutes prior to their flight and had not printed their boarding passes. They had issues taking care of this at the airport, arrived at the gate 10 minutes prior to departure and were denied boarding. They had to purchase new tickets to take a later flight. I did fix it for them with not extra fees but it was stressful for them. Do not let this happen to you, arrive early!

3 . Do not lose your Mexican Tourist Card If you are traveling to Mexico, a Mexican Tourist Card and Customs Declaration Form will be provided to you by the airline. Both copies of this card must be filled out, signed and presented upon arrival in Mexico. A copy will be returned to you. Please safeguard this throughout your stay, as you will need it for your return flight. If you lose your tourist card, there may be a fee to replace it.

4. Be aware of the baggage fees Most airlines charge for your checked in bag(s). Typically this is 30.00 each direction. Many airlines are now charging for carry ons as well. This fee can be more expensive that a checked in bag so make sure you know their fees.

5. Common resort complaints:

* Insufficient chairs around the pool area or people getting up real early to “save” them- This does happen at some resorts.

* No waiter service at the pools or beach- not all resorts have this service. If this is something that you want, let me know and I will make sure they do.

* Housekeeping doesn’t come every day - again all resorts are different and they may not come every day or they may come later in the day.

* Pools are cold - many of them are not heated except by the sun

* Had to pay a fee for a lost towel card - some resorts are very strict about their towel cards. Make sure you know their policy!

Hopefully you will find some of these tips helpful. And of course if you have not planned your beach vacation yet, I would love to help you.
