Riu Palace Mexico
Good morning and welcome to my first Blog post!
One week ago today I was flying home from Riviera Maya, Mexico. It was a FANTASTIC vacation! This particular trip was for my son's graduation who decided he wanted to do a family trip and invite his girlfriend along instead of a graduation gift. Needless to say, I thought that was a great idea. From beginning to end, it was amazing!
We stayed for 5 nights at the Riu Palace Mexico, in the heart of Playa del Carman. A great location with beautiful Palm trees, white sandy beaches and plenty of shopping. The kids got some great snap shops of a Spider monkey on their shoulders, a very mischievous critter who left some "remnants" on my sons shoulder from all the excitement!
That was a moment to remember!
We also did an incredible day trip Xel-Ha where we snorkeled with colorful fish, swam in a cenote and enjoyed the aquatic zip lines. I even jumped off a cliff which I haven’t done for 25 years. It was only 15 feet but it was quite an accomplishment for me! This was the best day and I would recommend this park for anyone, especially those traveling with children.
At the resort, we enjoyed laying around the pool, playing games and eating at the many restaurants they had to choose from. The food was some of the best I have had at an all inclusive resort and I am a HUGE foodie!
The entertainment crew was the best, even got my kids involved with various activities around the resort which is sometimes hard to do. They had a bubble party in one of the pools which was a blast and daily games out on the beach. Truly a fun experience for all of us!
Here are some more pictures of the trip, we are heading to Cozumel in October so more pics of our upcoming vacation coming soon!
